Alliance Air kick-starts services in Chennai

Subsidiary of Air India – Alliance Air has begun its service in Chennai sector between Chennai and Tiruchi here on Thursday.
 
The brand new Alliance Air ATR 600 type aircraft was welcomed with water salute soon after it got landed in Chennai this morning with 57 passengers on board.
 
There will be daily service of this airline henceforth. The flight timing will be 07.30 a.m. departure from Chennai and 08.35 a.m. arrival at Tiruchi. It will halt for half an hour and leave Tiruchi at 09.05 a.m. and get landed at Chennai at 10.20 a.m.
 
There was a brief ceremony conducted in Tiruchi airport for the beginning of Alliance Air service.
 
The very first boarding card was handed over to the passengers by Collector K. Rajamani. The Acting Airport Director Josy Francis, Air India, Station Manager, Tiruchi, G. Anil Kumar, officials from the Airports Authority of India were present by then.
 
Airport sources state that the Chennai bound aircraft took away with 25 passengers.
