Thiruvannamalai Deepam around 20 lakhs gathering at Annamalaiyar temple

The famous temple of Thiruvannamalai not only for it’s spirituality but also for it’s celebration of Karthigai Deepam (Maha Deepam) at early morning today the barani deepam was lighted in premises of temple. Approximately more than 20 lakhs devotees are being waiting at thiruvannamalai to see the Maha Deepam which is to be lit in the top of Thiruvannamalai Hill.
In the evening (6:00 pm) at the dark the lighted Deepam will look like which is from the sky in the form of agni god blesses his devotees.
Evening 6’o clock the Barani Deepam will be lit at top of the Thiruvannamalai hill. for this a some of 3 tones of ghee is poured in the vessel (where the deepam is lighted) and the culdroum is more thicker and carried to the hills by two three members. For Karthigai Deepam some of 100 special buses were been transported said by transport officials. Many devotees are waiting at the foot hills to watch the maha deepam inside the temple premises and also at the hill top.
