IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) has announced that a special pilgrimage train will start from Tamil Nadu to Shirdi on 28th September.
An IRCTC official explained that over 300 special tourism/pilgrimage trains have been operated so far by IRCTC. Over 1 Lakh passengers have travelled. Now, a special pilgrimage train is scheduled to start from Madurai on 28th September and take the route via Dindigul, Trichy, Virudhachalam, Villupuram, Chennai Egmore, to Pandaripuram, Shirdi, and Mantralayam.
The trip is for 7 days. The fare per person is fixed at Rs. 5880. This amount includes train fare, vegetarian food, and boarding.
