The Raintree Anna Salai’s South Indian restaurant Madras launches a new menu with an array of authentic and sumptuous dishes to choose from. The new edition includes a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters, main course and desserts prepared with traditional south Indian spices.
The new menu is perfectly curated to provide a delightful experience of South Indian Cuisines. Some of the unique dishes of the new menu include soups like Fresh mud crab with coconut milk and garlic, Chettinad pepper spiced country chicken saaru, appetizers like Baked zed paneer pin wheel with dhaniya pesto and podi crust, Cheesy vada, Pan roasted pallipalayam style seer fish, Cast iron grilled whole silver pomfret, spices from kadiapattinam coastal village of Nagercoil, Karwar spice tossed shrimps, Mutton keema untalu with Nellore hand pound masala. Native curries are one of the specialties of this menu which include dishes like Lamb trotters, spit roasted and braised paaya curry, Usilampatti kari kozhambu with lamb morsels which is a rural Madurai nativity curry. The menu also consists of garden curries like Zucchini and broccoli poriyal tempered with southern spice, Tomato pappu with slipt pigeon peas and garlic pappu etc. And finally toothsome desserts like Bebinca - Layered coconut pancakes with vanilla icecream, Chettinad spice flavoured crème brulee, baked yogurt of mambazha payasam and so on.
