Customers of SBI subsidiary bank, this is for you

Are you a customer of State Bank of India with an account in any of its subsidiary bank? If yes, you may have to get a new cheque book containing an Indian Financial System Code.
 
According to recent SBI announcement, SBI wants all its customers holding account with its subsidiary banks to get new cheque books and IFSC numbers at the earliest.
 
The list of subsidiary banks of SBI includes
 
·         State Bank of Patiala

·         State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur

·         State Bank of Raipur

·         State Bank of Travancore

·         State Bank of Hyderabad

·         Bhartiya Mahila Bank

 
In its tweet, SBI has made this announcement where it has also mentioned that after 30th September, old cheque books and IFSC numbers with these 6 banks will become obsolete. For applying for new cheque book and IFSC number, users can apply online through internet or mobile banking or ATM or at their home branch.
 
All SBI’s erstwhile Associate Banks and Bhartiya Mahila Bank are also requested to get new cheque books at the earliest.
