The Medical Council of India (MCI) conducts the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) for the candidates who have successfully completed their medical course abroad and wish to practice their profession in India.
The coaching for appearing in FMGE is done by Limra Overseas Education Consultants.
The Founder Director of Limra explained that in the FMGE test, questions will be asked from the 19 subjects studied during the 5-year course.
In the coaching classes conducted, 400 hours of classes and 200 hours of tests and counselling are included.
Regular tests will be conducted at the end of every week/month of the coaching and counselling/consultancy session will be conducted regarding the answers with the concerned professors. Counselling will be given as how to improve the marks.
LImra has managed to obtain admission to 100 students from India to pursue medical education in the Tao Medical College and Lyceum North Western Medical University in Phillippines in the last 6 years.
Limra starts the coaching classes for the above students at the end of the 3rd and the 4th year itself to prepare for FMGE. This coaching is continued after course completion enabling to students to succeed in the FMGE test.
