Direct appointments for 129 Junior Assistants - Agricultural University

129 Junior Assistants/Typists are to be selected through a competitive examination for direct appointment in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore.
In the vacancies mentioned above, 20% is reserved for students who had studied in Tamil medium in the graduate course.
The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Registrar has issued a notice regarding this stating that online applications are invited for the direct appointment for 129 vacancies to be filled up for the posts of Junior Assistants and Typists.
Graduates are eligible to apply. The candidates for the post of typists must have completed higher grade in English and Tamil typing or at least higher grade in 1 language and Lower grade in the other language.
Priority will be accorded to the candidates who have completed the computer certificate course conducted by the Technology Education Directorate.
Age Limit: For the common community cadre – candidates must be below 30 years of age. For SC/ST candidates, no age limit.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected based on the performance in the written examination, skill test, typing test, and the interview.
In the written examination, 60 questions will be based on General Knowledge, 20 questions will be based on intelligence and proficiency in Mathematics. 20 questions will be from General Tamil and English. there will be a total of 100 questions.
The candidates who pass the written examination will be called for the typing test. There are 20 marks allotted for this. The candidates who pass will be called for the interview. Interview carries 30 marks.

Out of the 129 vacancies announced, 30% is reserved for the candidates who studied the graduation course in Tamil medium.
The candidates may apply online and take a printout and attach the DD for the examination fee and the copies of the requisite academic documents/certificates and send it by registered post to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore before 31st October.
