The central government has announced that there is no change in the interest ratio for small savings.
From April last year (2016), the interest ratio is being revised every quarter year Accordingly, the interest rate for the quarter July-September was reduced by 0.1%.
In this situation, the central government has announced that the interest ratio for the various small saving schemes such as Public Provident Fund, Kisan Vikas Patra, and Sukanya samriddhi during the quarter from October to December will remain unchanged.
Thus, the interest rate for PPF will be 7.8%, for Kisan Vikas Patra (with a maturity period of 115 months) it will be 7.5%. For the Sukanya samriddhi, it will be 8.3%.
