Banwarilal Purohit assumed office as the Governor of the state of Tamil Nadu today (Friday, 6th October).
In a function conducted today morning at 9.30 AM, in the Chennai Guindy Raj Bhavan, the Chief Justice of Chennai High Court, Indira Bannerjee administered the oath of office and Mr. Banwarilal Purohit assumed office as the 25th Governor of Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister E. Palanisamy, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, and other ministers participated in the function. On behalf of the main opposition party, Stalin, Ponmudi, Anbazhagan, R. S Bharathi, and M. Subramanian participated in the function.
Central Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan, La Ganesan, Vanathi Srinivasan, the Chief Secretary, DGP, IAS and IPS officers, and officials from the USA and Singapore Embassies participated.
The Chief Justice of Chennai High Court, the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, the state Ministers, and other senior officials offered their greetings and wishes to the new Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
