Deepavali special buses: 29 reservation counters set up in 3 places in Chennai

The state minister for transport, Vijayabhaskar, inaugurated the reservation arrangements for Deepavali special buses yesterday (Friday, 13th October) at the Koyambedu Bus Stations.

For the occasion of the Deepavali festival, a total of 11645 buses will be operated including 4820 special buses on 15th, 16th, and 17th October.

With a view to simplifying the travel and in order to catch and board these buses with minimum effort, the buses to various places will be operated from 5 places – Koyambdeu, Anna Nagar, Poonamalee, Tambaram, and Little Mount (Saidapet).

Chennai MTC has arranged linking buses for the travelling public to reach the above 5 starting points.

The passengers who would be travelling more than 300 km can make their reservations online on the website www.tnstc.in

Further, there are already 5 reservation counters in the Koyambedu bus terminus.

The state minister for transport, Vijayabhaskar, inaugurated the reservation commencement at 26 special reservation centres. The 26 reservation counters include 2 for women, 1 for senior citizens, and 1 for differently-abled.

Further, 2 reservation counters have been set up in Tambaram Sanatorium and 1 reservation counter has been set up in Poonamallee.

These reservation counters will function from 7.00 AM to 9.00 PM.
