The live location sharing feature was launched on WhatsApp last week. Following this, WhatsApp is in the verge of launching group video calls for all of its users. Though the group calling feature is still not wrapped up, it is likely to get rolled out in another few months. A renowned site that tests each one of the newly launched WhatsApp feature claims that mobile app would roll out group video and voice calling feature soon.
For is beta users, the new feature on WhatsApp will likely be available in the upcoming update. According to the website announcement, the 2.17.70 beta version would come with the new feature. With this, the update will also allow easy transition between phone numbers. In case a user changes the phone number, all the contacts present on the list will be notified about the change.

To make use of this live location feature, click on the paperclip icon found against the chat box. With this, you can share the location as chat. This can also be shared with WhatsApp group or individual contact in your list.
You can modify the Account Privacy Settings to monitor the total number of people or groups that are accessing the live location updates you have shared. When multiple contacts have shared their live location on a WhatsApp group, you can find all of them in a single map.
