A latest analytical research and survey report, released by the Uppsala University of Sweden, establishes that people eating items cooked/prepared using the non-stick type of cookware are more likely to be affected by diabetes.

Nonstick type of utensils contains a chemical known as Perfluorinated Compounds. This may be absorbed by the item cooked. This chemical renders the food item unhealthy. This affects the functioning of the pancreas and gradually may lead to diabetes.

However, it cannot be claimed that non-stick utensils are the only reason to get diabetes. There are 3 basic reasons to be affected by diabetes: the 1st is unhealthy eating habits, The 2nd is the lack of physical exercise. The 3rd  heredity (genetic). Apart from these 3 basic reasons, there are many others which can cause diabetics. The survey mentioned above establishes that perfluorinated chemical may be a leading cause for diabetics.

This toxic chemical affects the pancreas and may reduce the amount of insulin generated in the pancreas or even may increase it. Hen lesser or higher amount of insulin is present in the blood, this condition leads to diabetics. Hence, it is strongly advisable for the public to avoid using non-stick cookware.

At the same time, please do not believe that diabetics can be kept away by keeping non-stick cookware away! Avoid junk-food. Eat items rich in fibre. Take regular physical exercise – these will definitely help avoid diabetics.
