Twin Towers of buildings with 10 floors each are set to be constructed near the Chennai Central Railway Station at cost of Rs. 400 Crores. The Twin Towers will accommodate a variety of avenues including entertainment - theatres and other entertainments.
Regarding this, the Chennai Metro officials shared the information that the Chennai Central Railway Station occupies as one of the top places where crows keep gathering regularly. Apart from the major place for the trains to other cities/states, the Chennai Metro train service is set to start from here.
The Metro Rail Service in the section between Chennai Central Station and Chennai Aiport via Anna Salai will commence before the end of the next year.
Th Chennai Metro Rail is set to construct a giant Twin Tower buildings near the Chennai Railway Station square. Subways will be constructed to link the Twin Towers to Chennai central station, Park Railway station, Ripon Building, and the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
The Twin Towers will each have 10 floors. They will be approximately 60 metres height. CMDA’s approval is awaited shortly.
The Twin Towers will also serve as an entertainment centre to the public. Special arrangements will be made for the visitors who visit Marina Beach to visit Twin Towers. Other major outing avenues such as vehicle parking, shopping malls, theatres, sports stalls, food shops and others will be available. A total cost of Rs. 400 Crores is set to be expended for this.
