The changes in the thought process while meditating for the 1st time

There are unlimited benefits for you to avail if you undertake meditation on a regular level.

There are several people who take up meditation highly enthusiastically – only to give it up a few days later! They would give one pretest or the other for this. Sometimes, even though they did not give up, they just persist with meditation as a mechanical routine. There are several reasons for this.
·        We start meditation with lots of hopes and eagerness. However, the experience does not turn out to be as rewarding and as quickly beneficial as we expected while starting. This frustration will lead to disinterest  - some of the persons seek a different guru to persist with meditation. Some others change their meditation camps. 

However, there also, they encounter the same initial enthusiasm and expectation – only to be followed immediately by a sense of disappointment and frustration! Thus, we can cite the very 1st reason for discontinuing meditation as the impractical and unrealistic expectations while starting meditation.

·        Most of the meditation centres offer the right environment for the purpose. The participants really feel the mental peace while pursuing meditation in these places.

·        The 3rd reason is the trend to give higher priority to the rites and events rather than the more significant aspects of meditation. Please note the fact that there would be absolutely no benefit availed from meditation when a person does it only nominally claiming that he/she does daily half-an-hour meditation over several years.

·        Please note this very significant point – doing devoted meditation regularly is one thing – but sitting mechanically under the guise of doing meditation is an entirely different thing! Note that meditation becomes a meaningless exercise when taken up merely as a rite.

·        Please note that it is a good success if we start with regular daily half-an-hour meditation session spending a large chunk of this half-an-hour really on meditation. The most significant fact is that the person meditating will feel an unexplainable ‘peace of mind’ in case of successful meditation.

·        If this continues, you can really start feeling the changes on your face, your style of talk, and also your outlook on life. Whether you realise this or not – your near and dear who interact with you regularly will notice these changes in you!

Please note – the immeasurable peace of mind you experienced while doing meditation will tend to continue and spread throughout your daily life as well! Gradually, you will reach a level when you are ready to undertake a meditation session anytime anywhere whenever you wish!
