Superactor Kamalahasan has taken up seriously giving his viewpoints on various public issues. He has expressed his desire for an entirely corruption-free government and the great urge to serve people.

He has also undertaken efforts to start a new private political party for these purposes.

In a recent response to this trend, Kamalahasan has tweeted yesterday (Friday, 27th October) about the dangers to be faced by the North Chennai coastal area with the onset of the Northeast monsoon rainy season.

He has strongly mentioned that if we neglect the Ennore backwater area, it would endanger the North Chennai region. He also mentioned that around 1090 acres of the mouth of the stream Kosusthalai have been lost as they have been occupied by vested people of self-interest.

Kamalahasan also observed that the burnt coal ash from the thermal power plants at Vallur and North Chennai is dumped in the river mouth. He had added full details in this regard in his tweet.

In this situation, the superactor undertook a trip to make a personal visit to the affected area – Ennore port and Sambalkulam. He also enquired the public about the harms faced with the dumping of the coal-burnt ash.

As usual, there have been various criticisms about this – especially that Kamalahasan is doing politics only through Twitter!  Probably in order to counter this, the superactor has entered into action for the first time to hear about the grievances of the local public!
