Heavy rains to persist in Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days

The Indian Weather Bureau has warned that there will be heavy rains from today (Monday, 30th October) until 3rd November in Tamil Nadu. Puducherry, and Kerala.

With the recent onset of the Northeast Monsoon Rainy Season, the Indian Weather Bureau has released a special report on the weather from 30th October to 3rd November. 

This report mentions that there are strong prospects of heavy rains on 30th October in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

There are strong prospects of heavy rains on 31st October in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, the coastal areas of the states of Kerala and Andhra, and Rayalaseema.

On 1st November, there are good prospects of heavy rains in the southern coastal areas of Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala.

On 2nd and 3rd November, there are strong prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala.

Meanwhile, it is already raining heavily in several areas of Tamil Nadu right from the early morning today (Monday, 30th October).

It has been raining heavily in Chennai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, and Kumbakonam districts.

In the Chennai Metro City, it has been raining heavily in several urban areas such as Adyar, Guindy, Kodambakkam, Meenambakkam, and Madhavaram.

Traffic has become congested and blocked due to this heavy rain.
