Chennai and North TN coast to see active rainy days from Today till Tuesday

Expecting decent rains even in the day time. So dont be fooled by the bright sun, as long as low is there and with moisture pumped in, the weather can change just like that.
Chennai and other North TN coast can see very good rains today till tuesday with breaks. Tomorrow and Tuesday too there will be good rains. How the rains will pan out will be known only based on the now casting and how clouds converge. As of now, rains are confirmed to 100% and we can expect decent nos of rainfall.
Winds are east and which means, the rains will be mostly limited to North TN belt
I have added the map showing the broad trough low and how it is pushing the moist winds to the north TN coast and creating convergence.
Break in Rains
Rains will take a break from 8th November (Wednesday) night for Chennai and other parts too.
Meanwhile Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Nilgiris and Delta got good rains. So did vellore and Thiruvannamalai. The rainfall ending 8.30 am on 05.11.2017 are as folllows

Papanasam Dam - 142 mm
Manimuthar Dam - 124 mm
Nanguneri - 90 mm
Valliyoor - 79 mm
Amabsamutharam - 68 mm
Cheranmahadevi - 60 mm
