Drinking water from Veeranam lake to Chennai again

Drinking water from the Veeranam lake is taken again to the Chennai Metro city after a gap of 2 years,
As 1400cft of water was received by the Cuddalore Veeranam lake, 60 cft out of this is being released to the Chennai Metro City.
The capacity of the Veeranam lake is 47.5ft. Presently, the water level in Veeranam lake stands at 45ft.
