Metro Water officials say that they hardly get more than three to four complaints during the session, which starts from 10 am and lasts till 1 pm. hey add that with the 24-hour complaint cell functioning, people prefer to use the phone rather than visiting the office for the Open House session. complaints filed during Open House are also being monitored by the Metro Water headquarters. “They track the complaints and ensure that the work is carried out immediately.

An area engineer says that the redressal meet is organised every second Saturday. The mechanism was started more than a decade ago and has been a success since then. Another engineer from Metro Water states that the complaints are also seasonal and the number varies during monsoon and summer season. “In monsoon we get complaints pertaining to leaking manholes and during summer, it is about lack of water supply, he said.

Speedy redressal mechanism is also being endorsed by Venkateswamy Rao, president Vadaagram Road Residents Welfare Association, who attended the meeting. He says that the officials are quick in resolving the complaints.and the public works will be made easy and quick for the welfare of public.
