Infosys to train employees in self-driving car engineering technology

IT major Infosys will get into a partnership with online learning firm Udacity to train all its employees in self-driving car engineering technology. This is called as Udacity Connect. It combines both in-person and online training. With this training, the Infosys employees can get all the needed skill for focusing on autonomous technologies in various industries encompassing manufacturing, mining, automotive, etc., say Infosys sources.
 
This will be of 20 weeks period where Infosys employees will be trained on various engineering technologies for self-driving vehicles. It also involves high-level courses in both deep and machine learning.
 
By end of next year, over 500 engineers are likely to be trained, say Infosys sources. Infosys shall re-skill and train all its employees in various technologies including artificial intelligence, autonomous technologies and machine learning, said the President and Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Infosys, S. Ravi Kumar.
 
He adds that Infosys is overwhelmed about partnering with Udacity for launching this in-person and online self-driving car engineer nanodegree program. They are in the trial of adopting skills and ensuring continuation of innovation, he adds.
