TNPSC announces recruitment for college librarians & district librarians

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has made an announcement regarding the written test for the recruitment for the posts of Librarians, Library Officer, etc., for the libraries in various government colleges, district libraries, and the Anna Centenary Library.
Applications are invited online from the eligible candidates before 20th December.
Details of posts and vacancies
College Librarian
- Vacancies: 21 9
- Monthly Salary: Rs. 15600 – Rs. 39100 and quality allowance Rs. 6000
District Library Officer
- Vacancies: 09
- Monthly Salary: Rs. 15600 – Rs. 39100 and quality allowance Rs. 5400
Assistant Librarian and Information Officer
- Vacancies: 03
- Monthly Salary: Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800 and quality Allowance Rs. 4700

The last date for submission of applications: 20th December 2017
The last date for payment of Application Fee: 22nd December 2017
The date of the written test: 24th February 2018. There will be 2 written tests.
Application and the written test fees: The registration fees are to be paid while applying for TNPSC recruitments online. This has been increased to 150 from Rs. 50 from March 2017. The applicants who apply for the 1st time have to pay Rs. 200.
The candidates who have permanent registration need not pay any registration fees. Adi Dravidas, Ancient Tribes, differently-abled, and destitute widows need not pay the written test fee. Others need to pay Rs. 200 as the written test fee.
