Holiday declared for schools and colleges in Kanyakumari, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts by respective District Collectors for today (Nov 30).
No holiday for Chennai and schools will be open as there is no forecast for heavy rains in Chennai - District collector Chennai.
District collectors of Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Dindigul & Pudukkottai have declared holiday for today for all schools.
Weather department forecast depression over Comorin area intensifies into deep depression. Likely to form into a cyclonic storm during next 12 hours.
