  • Chennai rains have subsided. No rain since morning 0900 hours. We except on and off light rain till tomorrow. Next heavy spell is expected around Dec 5th. Low over Andaman will move towards Chennai.- SkymetWeather 

  • In the last six hours, AminiDevi has recorded rain to the tune of 5 mm, Minicoy 68 mm, Kanyakumari 6 mm, Thiruvananthapuram 33 mm, Tiruchirappalli 18 mm, puducherry 1 mm, Cuddalore 18 mm, Nagapattinam 3 mm and Meenambakkam in Chennai 4 mm.

  • The weather system is currently seen over Comorin area and adjoining region and has become a cyclonic storm Ockhi and may even intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours - skymetweather

  • The cyclone lashed South TamilNadu Kerala and Lakshadweep with heavy showers. As it is moving towards Lakshadweep Island, now the rain intensity will reduce over Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain will occur over Kerala and extremely heavy over Lakshadweep. - skymetweather
