As of now, the well-marked low pressure area in Bay of Bengal is not foreseen to have much impact over the state for at least the next two days. The capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai will also remain dry during the same time frame.
The system is likely to intensify into a depression in the next 24 hours and further into a deep depression amid the subsequent 48 hours. It is expected to head for South Andhra Pradesh Coast. Therefore we expect moderate rains with isolated heavy showers over North Tamil Nadu including Chennai by December 7.
