2 Days holiday for schools and colleges in Kanyakumari

The Cyclone Okchi, formed over the Arabian Sea has caused severe damages in Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and the southern districts of the state of Kerala.
As several trees were uprooted along with many electric poles, the power supply has been affected. The government is taking remedial and rescue activities in full swing.
In this situation, in order to carry on the remedial and rescue activities, the district collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan has announced that 2 days (5th and 6th December) will be holidays for all the schools and colleges in the Kanyakumari district.
