ICICI introduces new facility to open PPF account online

ICICI bank has taken the initiative to be the 1st bank in the country to intoduce a fully digital and paperless procedure for opening a PPF account.
The bank announced on Thursday (7th December), that it has started a digital service for the customers to open a PPF account online. Thus, there is no need for furnishing any paper documents.
This facilitates instant opening of a PPF account with the complete online operation and so, paperless accounting.
The bank further explained that with the digitalise service, it is no longer required for the customer to make personal visits to the bank. The facility is open to start anytime, anywhere with the bank’s digital channel of the internet and mobile banking.
This makes ICICI the 1st bank in the country to introduce this facility. Being online, naturally, the facility operates 24x7 basis. The customers have just to log in and apply.
