WhatsApp is currently testing its new feature for all of its 1 billion-plus users. The feature includes tap to unblock and private group replies, and a few others.
This feature on WhatsApp Android Beta version was observed by a fan website where it states that it is very easy to select a contract out of your complete Contact List. Pick the blocked contact and easily unblock using ‘tap and hold’ action for unblocking and send messages directly.
Using private replies feature, users can make private replies to contacts present inside a group. This shall eliminate the need for leaving the group to chat with someone.
There is a new addition to the Group Info on WhatsApp. It is called the Invite via link. This is quite similar to the option on iOS app. This is made visible only for the administrators.
When there is some problem on WhatsApp, all you need to do is shake your handset to report about the issue – this is going to be a soon-to-be feature on WhatsApp. Once you do so, it will open up Contact Us section. Here, all your logs can get shared to WhatsApp for investigating the complaint.
WhatsApp is working out a new feature on its iOS update with which users can make group calls. In the future, users will find ‘Admin Settings’ section where you will have 2 different options called Send messages and Edit group info.
There will be also Picture-in-Picture feature with which users can make video chat with friends and also share messages to other contacts.
There is widespread use of WhatsApp by businesses these days. They use it to chat with customers, especially Asian users. Hence, WhatsApp is also likely to launch a new app exclusively for them.
On WhatsApp official site, on FAQ put up on it, WhatsApp has given details about the Business accounts that is soon to be launched. This includes details of how to identify business accounts from other non-verified accounts.
By checking out the profile of a contact while chatting with businesses, you will get to know about the type of account they are use. There will be a green checkmark badge on such profiles, says WhatsApp FAQ.
At present, the WhatsApp business mobile app is in its testing phase where a group of private testers are performing the job. This WhatsApp Business shall be launched as a standalone app, to note.
