Tirupati mountain route to be open 24 hours during Vaikunta Ekadasi & New Year

The festival of Vaikunta Ekadasi is scheduled to be celebrated in Tirupathi temple on 29th December. The Sorga Vaasal (Heavenly Gates) will be opened in the very early morning.

Once Sorga Vaasal is opened, the group of devotees in the VIP Darshan will be allowed in the Sanctum Sanctorum at 5.30 AM for the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

Subsequently, at 8.00 AM, the devotees under the Free Darshan system will be allowed inside the Sanctum Sanctorum.

The free Darshan group of devotees visiting on this occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi are to be arranged to wait in the Vaikuntam Queue complex in Tirumalai from 10.00 AM on 28th December.

The VIPs from various political parties will be given a single ticket – with this single ticket, up to 6 devotees will be allowed inside for Darshan.

For the VIPs from the government departments, a single ticket will be issued and with this single ticket, 4 persons will be allowed for Darshan.

The other regular pooja and darshans in the temple such as Arjitha Seva, VIP Break Darshan, and recommendation letters are being cancelled from 28th December to 1st January.

The tokens issued to the devotees who visit the temple by foot are also cancelled.

For the 5 days from 28th December to 1st January, arrangements have been made to keep the mountain route between Tirumalai and Tirupathi will be kept open all 24-hours. VIP Darshan stand cancelled on the Dwadasi day as well.
