Following the introduction of Googles Files Go app, Google has now introduced the Googles Maps Go App.
In a scenario in which the Go Apps have been introduced for all Android smartphones, Googles Maps Go App has been designed to work smoothly even on the smartphones with fewer RAMs.
As per the information released by Google, this Maps Go App has been designed to work in smartphones with 512 MB or 1 GB RAM. Accordingly, this App may not be available in the Google Play Store for 3 GB or 4 GB RAM.
It may be explained that the new Google Maps Go App is the light-weight version of the standard Google Maps application available on the Google Play Store. The App may even function on the entry-level smartphones with limited info.
This new App will join the Files Go, Google Go, and YouTube Go Apps already available on Google Play Store.
Google has plans to add some lightweight variants of other popular Google apps like Gmail and Google Assistant in the future as well.
The Go edition apps is a part of Google`s Android Oreo effort, which is an operating system mean for smartphones with just 512 MB to 1 GB RAM. These smartphones will offer better performance compared to the current lot of droids, that often lag after being loaded up with apps because of the lesser hardware specifications.
