K. Shanmugam, the new Chief Secretary of TN govt

With the news that the present Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, Girija Vaidyanathan being admitted in the hospital, K. Shanmugam, presently the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Finance Department, will assume the responsibility as the Chief Secretary (in charge) of the state government of Tamil Nadu.
He functions as the Chief Secretary (in charge) of Tamil Nadu from yesterday (Sunday, 17th December) till Girija Vaidyanathan resumes duty.
