University of Madras - facility to study online from next academic year

The syndicate meeting was conducted at the University of Madras. After the meeting, the university vice-chancellor P. Duraisamy informed that a decision was taken to implement the 7th Wages review committee’s recommendations for the non-teaching staff of the university. The arrears due to them will be paid.
91 postgraduate courses are offered by the university. Anyone with the right qualifications can join and study online on the subject of their choice from anywhere.
This facility has been introduced keeping the job opportunities in consideration.
The online study facility is introduced from the next academic year. Approval from the syndicate has been obtained for this.
The other students can pursue their studies as usual. There are no changes in the regular class routine.
