Malaysian Officials: we will introduce the special features of Tamil Nadu Government schools

The Malaysian Deputy Minister, S. K. Devamani, on a visit to Tamil Nadu, informed that his ministry will try to implement all the special features adopted in the Government schools.

A 40-member team comprising of the Malaysian Tamil teachers, and the officials from the Education Ministry as visited Tamil Nadu to improve the teaching-learning system in the Tamil schools in Malaysia.

The team visited the Chennai Ashok Nagar Higher Secondary School on Wednesday (20th December). After this, there was a discussion.

The Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office in Malaysia, S. K. Devamani explained regarding this visit that under the theme of ‘Teachers’ training target fixing, It was a surprise to that the useful event of the Morning Prayers of 11 items including items meditation, general knowledge, sharing of thoughts, taking pledges, Thirukkural explanation, and birthday greetings is conducted in just 17 minutes.

We will introduce all such positive features in our Tamil Schools. It is a good thing to note that teaching is done in both English and Tamil mediums. Arrangements are being made to conduct the Science teaching in English from this academic year.

As far as mother-tongue teaching is concerned, the government schools in Tamil Nadu are ideal examples. The syllabus also contains some useful features. We will get all the relevant info from the officials.

At the start of the visit, marking the occasion of completion of 20 years of Tamil medium teaching in Malaysia, the visiting team presented the Education Policy Report to the headmistress of the Ashok Nagar Girls Higher Secondary School.

The director of School Education, R. Ilangovan, the District Primary education Officer (in charge) Pandiyan, The Director of Primary Education S. Karmegam, and Joint Director Naresh participated in this event.
