3000 smart classes are planned to be set up during this academic year. By the next academic year, this will be increased to 10000 smart classes.

The new syllabus is scheduled to be released during February 2018. Arrangements are being made to implement the syllabus within 2 years instead of the originally scheduled period of 3 years.
A committee has been formed to award `weightage marks` to the teachers who have passed the TRB (Teachers Recruitment Board) examinations. Based on the recommendations from this committee, appointments will be made before February 2018.
