Arudhra Darisanam is being celebrated in a grand manner today in all the temples dedicated to Lord Siva in the Chennai Metro. A large number of devotees have been visiting the temple for a Darshan from the early morning.
The festive occasion of Arudhra Darisanam is celebrated on the day of the traditional Hindu religion, the star of Thiruvadhirai in the sacred Tamil month of Margazhi. Arudhra Darisanam is celebrated all over Tamil Nadu in the temples dedicated to Lord Siva in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and other areas.
Thousands of devotees are having the Darshan of the Lord Siva in the temple of Uthirakosamangai Maragatha Nataraja temple and the Chidambaram Lord Nataraja temple.
In the Chennai Thiruvotriyur Lord Thyagaraja Temple Swami temple, Arudhra Darisanam is being celebrated with special prayers from 4.00 AM onwards. A large number of devotees are having the Darshan of the Lord.
In the equally historical and famous temple of Lord Marundeeswarar temple in Chennai Thiruvanmiyur, the festivity of Arudhra Darisanam is celebrated in a grand manner. Thousands of devotees had Darshan of the Lord from 6.00 AM and a procession of the deity of the Lord was also taken.
