Various events that would be taking place during the Mylapore festival are pulli kollam contests, food walks etc. These food walks would be anchored by Sridhar Venkatraman who would be trying his best to bring out different types of food joints in Mylapore. Apart from these two there are also events such as heritage walking and this would be anchored by Chitra Madhavan.

It is worthy to note that this upcoming festival would also have programmes for children. Saint Poet storytelling contests and arts/ crafts workshop are some of the examples for events of children. All these have raised huge expectations now.

This ancient musical storytelling method would be making its presence felt in this Mylapore festival for the very first time.
