At the National SC-ST Hub NSSH on Friday 5th January 2018 principal secretary of industries, Mr. Rajendra Kumar IAS shared his thoughts. He said the state of Tamil Nadu has got high number of MSMEs and entrepreneurs. He also spoke about how quality is behind the mark. Mr Rajendra Kumar further spoke about presence of MSMEs that is present in many sectors like textiles, chemicals, leathers, electrical, plastics etc.
Mr. Rajendra Kumar expressed his views on how India has got the third biggest MSMEs in the world and how money of Rs 30000 crores were pumped into these MSMEs and how inspite of these huge money the quality is not up to the mark.
It must be noted that in the Global MSME Index, India are ranked 69 as India is unable to follow the global standards of production and that is a serious case of concern. The principal secretary of Industries also opened about how other CPSEs and industry associations must be brought together under a common platform.
This NSSH was opened by none other than Mr. Benjamin who is the Tamil Nadu minister for Rural, Cottage and Small Industries. This event also saw the presence of Mr. Dharmendra Pratap Yadav who is the secretary MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu. This event also saw participation of as many as 800 entrepreneurs belonging to micro, small and medium based enterprises. Mr. Rajendra Kumar threw light on how payment disputes of MSMEs with their vendors, clients and suppliers have been resolved and this has been possible with the help of MSME Facilitation centre.
The main purpose for which the NSSH was created was to build and supportive environment for the SC, ST entrepreneurs and also by helping these entrepreneurs in capacity building. This would make them to take part in the public procurement process.
