British Council will offer unique reflections of Chennai through music with 12 popular city-based musicians collaborating on its interactive music platform –Mix the City (MTC). MTC draws users to explore the music of a particular region and create their unique music compositions through stitching the pieces created by the 12 artists, and share them online.
British Council’s Mix The City artists such as Prakash Hariharan (Mandolin), Vivek Anand (Acoustic Guitar), Anil Srinivasan (Piano), Padma Shankar (Violin), Rajhesh Vaidya (Veena), Paul Jacob (Bass Guitar) and Perimallam Drummers led by A. Samrajwill perform at IIT Saarang as a part of the celebration.
Mix the City has been designed by award-winning British start-ups, digital content partner Flying Object and technical development partner Roll Studio.It has been curated by Kutiman, acclaimed songwriter, producer, mixologist and filmmaker who curated the first ever edition – for Tel Aviv.
