Located about 30 kms from Chennai, Vandalur Zoo is highly popular and is visited by huge number of people. It is well known that during the time of holidays this zoo is visited by enormous number of people and there would be long queue present outside the ticket counters at this zoo.
The news that has emerged now is this problem of long queues wont be there hereafter as the zoo management has introduced online booking of the tickets. It is now said that from Wednesday, 10th January this online booking of the tickets would start and people would be able to get the entry tickets as well as joy rides tickets easily.
It is now confirmed by Mr. S. Yuvaraj who is the director of this zoo that the online booking of tickets has got benefits such as saving time for the people plus it has also got advantage of making the people carry less cash when compared to before.
Mr. S. Yuvaraj also threw light on the fact that during the Pongal season the number of people visiting this zoo is very high and they have to wait for hours together sometimes to get the tickets. He spoke about how this online booking of tickets would solve this issue and make it easier for the people. It must be noted that people who book tickets through online would have a separate queue now.
It is now confirmed that people who book their tickets through online would get the confirmation on their mobile phones plus through their emails. The zoo director also spoke about how the people visiting the zoo would have to show the receipts plus proof of their identities when they enter this zoo.
It is also said that the people visiting the zoo can use their credit or debit cards and with that they could book their tickets at the 14 counters present in the zoo.
