Chennai Airport will have a Travellator tube soon connecting to Metro Railway Station

Airports Authority of India (AAI) initiated the works to build a travellator tube that connects the domestic and international terminals with the metro station at the Chennai Airport.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has planned to complete this construction of a travellator by March or April. The construction of steel and glass tube connecting the domestic and international terminals is completed and the works for joining these terminals with metro station has been escalated. This is exclusively for passengers coming out of the terminals who will be going on to Nehru Park, Koyambedu and Anna Nagar via Metro Station.

An estimation says 30,000 Commuters use the metro rails from Chennai Airport and so the metro station and the Airport connection by these tubes will have a great effect in easing out the movement of the Passengers.

Now the domestic and international terminals are being operated by battery cars for the passengers to travel in between, the construction of the tube and the following escalator
