AirAsia India has returned to Chennai as its 17th destination, along with the
induction of the 15th aircraft. This time, the airline has launched five daily flights connecting Chennai to Bengaluru and Bhubaneshwar.
Speaking at a press conference, a senior executive of AirAsia India said,
With the AirAsia group already operating direct flights to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok from Chennai, we expect a boom in inbound and outbound tourism across the region. We ended 2017 on a highly positive note and are delighted to continue the same momentum in 2018. Chennai has always been close to our heart since we started off from there and has always been a popular route among guests. We expect that the Chennai -Bhubaneswar route will boost religious/cultural tourism from both markets.
In an official press release, AirAsia said, Bookings for all the new sectors are now open for sale. Guests can book their flights onwww.airasia.com and avail all in fares from as low as Rs 1,299 and Rs 2,699 for flights connecting Bangalore and Chennai and Bhubaneshwar and Chennai respectively.
Effective February 24, 2018, AirAsia India will operate three daily flights between Chennai and Bengaluru and two daily flights between Chennai and Bhubaneshwar.
