The fruit juices are rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients. The juices do not contain the pith and the skin parts of the fruit whose juice was extracted. So, it is easier to take the juice. However, the fibre-content available while taking the fruits directly would not available while taking it in the form of a juice.
For those who are interested in reducing body weight, they can include fruit juice as one of the items in the diet programme for this purpose. For example, one can substitute only fruit juice instead of one of the meal sessions or once in a week, take only fruit juices throughout the day. In other words, the fruit juice would replace the main food for the meal session. On this day, one can take some light snack items during the break between one juice session to another. Otherwise, one can take the normal breakfast and then follow it taking only fruit juices for the rest of the day.
One cannot state that there are absolutely no calories in the fruit juices. However, it is certain that the quantum of calories is much less than the regular food items taken in this period. On an average, a single day of only fruit juices will give around 600 to 1000 calories. This is far less as compared to the calories if one had taken the regular normal meal sessions.
The fruit juices get digested quickly. Thus, the energy to have been spent on the digestion process in case of the normal full meal session would be saved. As it is, while taking fruit juices, the body gets all the vitamins and minerals which would provide the extra energy required to take up additional activities such as physical exercises.
Thus, by adopting the system of taking fruit juices in place of regular meal sessions and pursuing regular physical exercises, one can realise the reduction in body weight.
