North India
Light to moderate rain and snow with heavy at one or two places are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand on February 12. The intensity will reduce significantly on February 13 and 14. However, isolated areas will continue to witness some rain and snow.
Thereafter, another feeble Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Himachal Pradesh on February 15 which will move away by February 16.
Meanwhile, weather of Northwest India will remain dry for entire week. However, North Punjab and Northwest Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Uttarakhand may receive isolated rain on February 12 and 13.
Central India
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm is possible over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and parts of Vidarbha on February 12. Intensity and spread will decrease on February 13. By February 14, weather will become dry. Dry weather will continue over entire Central India until February 18. Day temperatures will witness a rise over almost entire Central India by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius during the next 48 hours.
East and Northeast India
Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers will occur over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar along with parts of Jharkhand on February 12. On February 13, rains will continue over few parts of Jharkhand and isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Light rainfall may occur over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
On February 14, only East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Nagaland will receive some rains. Thereafter, weather will become dry.
South India
Rainfall activity will further reduce over South peninsular India. Light rain may occur over isolated pockets of Coastal Karnataka and Kerala till February 14. Thereafter, isolated light rain is expected over South Tamil Nadu, on February 15. Weather will become dry after that over entire South India till February 18.
