Swipe Cards are coming into the scene of Metro Rail Parking

The latest reports of Chennai Metro Rail Limited - CMRL said that the smart cards are going to be issued for the purpose of commuters to pay for the parking tariff in their respective metro stations to board the train. The smart cards can also be used to pay for tickets in feeder services in Metro Stations.
CMRL is in final talks with Metropolitan Transport Corporation MTC for approving this big step in the parking arena of the metro rail stations. The idea of including rail ticket smart cards along with the parking payment option as well is a quick way for commuters boarding trains at regular intervals. CMRL official informed that this exclusive service through smart cards will be available for the commuters within two months.
Upgrading of the machines and servers in operating the smart card is in the state of quick progression. As soon as the servers are linked in accordance with the commuters smart cards the issuing process will be started immediately.
Tis facility is also for the non-passengers who are in a position to park their vehicles inside the metro stations but the priority will be given to the Metro commuters depending on the busy timings of any given day.
Nehru Park and Thirumangalam stretch had already made the smart cards for the ticketing system as mandatory. So further introducing the parking payment options into the smart card, distributing the whole system to all metro will hugely help in money transactions of the ticketing system as it doesnt involve direct money transfer.
