Asthma and allergy are two of the most important health issues people in this world have. Though these people take many medications for these two issues the people are not completely relieved from these two issues. In this regard one piece of news has emerged and this news has grabbed many eyeballs.
Located in Maryland in USA, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is a highly popular institution and it was established in the year 1916. This institute offers many post graduate and doctoral degrees is well known. It must be noted that a study was conducted in the above mentioned institute and it is now said that a special receptor on the cells present in throat, sinus and lungs have evolved and they help in the protection of mammals against allergies and asthma etc.
It is worthy to mention that the receptor termed dectin-1 recognises protein present in house dust mites plus others like cockroach, shellfishes and invertebrates etc and suppress immune reactions to these allergies and asthma issues. This was confirmed by the researchers.
According to these researchers of this popular institute it is now revealed that this protective mechanism is impaired in people suffering from chronic sinusitis and asthma because of dust mite sensitive nature. It is important to note that the studies are published in the Journal Science Immunology.
