A special counseling session, exclusively for the 144 students who had earlier joined a private medical college and now interested in changing over to government medical colleges, is scheduled to be conducted in Chennai on 6th March.
Because of the problems encountered in continuing the functioning of a private medical college located in Pennalur in Kanchipuram district, the future of the 144 students who joined in this college in the academic year 2016-17 has turned out to be a huge question mark.
These students put up a petition in the High Court. Enquiring this case, the Chennai High Court ordered the state government of Tamil Nadu to admit these 144 students in the government medical colleges.
In this situation, a special counseling session for the admission of the above 144 students in the government medical colleges is scheduled to be conducted at 11.30 AM on 6th March at the Chennai Kilpauk office of the Medical Education Council.
