Aircel, which was recently declared to be bankrupt, is conducting negotiations with Reliance Jio and Airtel.

It has taken this decision because of the huge acute debt/loss burden. It has to settle a debt burden of Rs. 15500 Crores and is struggling to find any solution. Aircel represented its position seeking the company to be declared as bankrupt to the National Companies Tribunal which was accepted.

Aircel customers had an agonizing experience with the function failure of the towers throughout the last week. This was subsequently rectified. However, the tower problem has returned over the last 2 days. In this condition, Aircel announced that its customers may change over to other networks.

An information is gathered that Aircel, declaring its motto that it considers the customers as its heartbeat, is exploring the possibility of linking their customers to another telecommunication network. It appears that Aircel has been negotiating with Reliance Jio and Airtel on this possibility.
