As predicted by Skymet Weather, Kerala and Tamil Nadu witnessed light to moderate rain in few parts. In the last 24 hours, from 8:30 am on Friday, Kodaikanal recorded rain to the tune of 17 mm, followed by at Palakkad 2 mm, Udhagamandalam and Thrissur 1 mm rains.
As per weathermen, the trough over the Interior parts of Tamil Nadu has become insignificant. Another trough now lies over Southeast Arabian Sea which is extending up to North Coastal Karnataka.
It is expected that the weather activity will reduce in intensity over Kerala. However, scattered light rain and thundershower are likely over the northern parts. Meanwhile, isolated activity is expected over the southern parts of Kerala and adjoining West Tamil Nadu during the next 24 hours.
Moreover, a rise in temperature is also expected over many parts of Tamil Nadu and at a few parts of Kerala. The weather during the day would be warm and humid in both the states.
