A new facility for the better facial photo in Aadhar cards in July for easier identification

A new facility is being added to the Aadhar card features. Apart from the present system of taking the fingerprints and the eye latch. The clear facial photo is being added. This will be effective from 1st July.

A constitutional panel of 5 justices from the Supreme Court is conducting the enquiries about the cases related to Aadhar card issues. The CEO of UIADI (Unique Identification Authority of India), Ajay Bhushan Pandey was in the Supreme Court and made a presentation to the panel with the help of Powerpoint explaining the necessity for Aadhar cards.

Presently, Aadhar cards are used for a variety of purposes. The fingerprints and eye latch are the avenues of identification in the Aadhar card. Apart from this, OTP (One Time Password) facility can also be used for Aadhar-related applications.

In the presentation, the CEO of UIDAI confirmed that an additional feature of using the clear facial shape will be added to confirm identification through Aadhar from 1st July.
