The Department of School Education has announced that the parents who interested in seeking free admission in private schools have to apply online from 20th April.
As per the Free Education Act and the Right to Education Act, 25% quota of the seats available for free admission in the non-minority self-financed schools.
The students will be admitted to LKG or 1st Standard.
There is no need to pay any donation or education fee for admissions on this basis. The students who get admission on this basic need not pay any education fees to the school until 8th Standard.
The Department of Education has granted permission to the private schools to admit students free on this basis.
For getting free admission in the private schools in the coming academic year, applications will have to be sent online from 20th April to 18th May.
This free admission for LKG and 1st standard will be available in all non-minority status private schools including primary schools, Matriculation Schools, CBSE schools and ICSE schools.
The respective schools have to acknowledge the applications received and give the agreement sheet.
The parents can also register online for free admission to their children in LKG/1st Standard through the faculties available in Regional Centres, Office of the Assistance to Primary education, Office of the regional Education, Primary Education offices, and Matric Analyst Office.
