Free NEET coaching classes for the +1 students also

The state government of Tamil Nadu has organised special free coaching classes for attempting the NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) to pursue joining the medical courses MBBS or BDS.
Though intended primarily for the students of +2, the students of +1 are also being allowed to attend the special free NEET coaching classes.
A pass in NEET is mandatory for the +2 students to join medical courses as per the central government rules and regulations.
As per the Supreme Court Order, NEET is conducted throughout the country.
This year (2018), NEET is scheduled to be conducted on 6th May.
In order to prepare the students to write and pass the rather tough NEET, free special coaching classes are conducted on behalf of the Tamil Nadu state government especially for the +2 (and +1) students studying in all the government and the government-aided schools.
The 1st Phase of this free NEET coaching classes were conducted in 112 coaching centres throughout the state in the month of January and February.
As the Public Examinations are scheduled in March, the above free NEET coaching classes were stopped.
Now the public examinations are about to be concluded. So, the 2nd phase of the special free NEET coaching classes are scheduled to be conducted for the government and the government-aided schools with free boarding and lodging facilities in some engineering colleges
Around 9000 students from the government and government-aided schools had applied for the above free NEET coaching classes. Out of the 9000, 4000 students will be selected for the special free NEET coaching classes with free special boarding and lodging facility
The other students are trained in the nearest coaching centres in their city/district.
However, the total number of students for this special caching classes is not as per the expectations of the organizing officers. So, a decision was taeken to permit the +1 students also to attend this NEET coaching classes.
It is worth noting that about 50% of the NEET questions are from the +1 class syllabus. So, the education department officials informed that a decision was take to allow the +1 students also to tend the free NEET coaching classes.
